Yes, I realize this is the Aggie football board and the topic is related.

Just got home from Kyle Field. Had a great time and also feel like I just experienced one of the biggest rug pulls of my life. All the marketing materials to drive revenue and tickets sales had Messi on them.

The guy didn't even play, I watched little girls in Messi jerseys leaving Kyle Field in shambles crying.

The good news is the $300 we spent on 10 beers and 4 hot dogs may have helped buy us another linebacker or strong safety.

What a ****ing joke.

At least we all got to breathe the same oxygen as the GOAT. The second post below is absolutely pathetic.

Going forward, there has to be some sort of contractual obligation when you sell an entire event around a sole individual and not deliver.

The whole crowd was chanting "We want Messi". Argentina could have thrown the entire stadium a bone and at worse inserted him in the 90th minute.

If it's any consolation, we got to see Von again.

Yep. It was a recent injury which kept him from playing. Still a great time

Then this is fair and I hadn't realized it. Thought he was good to go in his last match playing for Miami.

Seems I wasn't the only one in the entire stadium nor were all of the people selling merch near the TexAgs building on the way into the joint.

Nice post on X-hey everyone, Messi is here! Zero context by this website that he was injured and likely not to play.

Pretty sweet cash grab all around.

Of course it was a cash grab. It was a soccer game between 2 third world countries that didn't even count for anything. And they charged everyone hundreds of dollars each to attend.

Everyone knew he wasn't going to play. Really wasn't a surprise at all. Greatest player of all time isn't playing in a friendly before the World Cup.

So our team kicked one more goal than Messi in our last outings at Kyle.
