He was a strong believer in positive thinking, and would say, "You are what you think you are."

My father was a stoic man, and often times misunderstood, but he always offered amazing advice that I still take heed of to this day. One of my favorites below. He is the reason I started my small but growing business.

"Don't ever, for any reason, do anything to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you've been, ever, for any reason whatsoever"

PAY YOURSELF FIRST.. Dad suggested at least 10% of each paycheck.
Great advise on learning how to save and invest.

What's a dad? Never saw one growing up.

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady who's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick with that, everything else is cream cheese.

I am class of '90, ex was class of '93. We had four girls ('16, '18, '21 & ''25).

We had just moved to a new town in the hill country and were at church one Sunday for dinner on the grounds. One of the members asked" you went to A&M and she went to A&M- are you gonna make your girls go to A&M?" I quickly responded with "No, they can go anywhere they want to go to college". They started to reply "that's good" but I cut them off with "we're only gonna pay for it if they go to A&M". We got some really crazy responses to that.

When driving, it's not 'you' you need to worry about. It's every other ******* on the road.

On a serious note, the one thing my dad always impressed on us (and has proven to be true) is to protect your integrity. And the only way to do that is being honest and accountable. He always said no matter how good your lie is, one day the truth will be known and you will have to answer for it

Work hard and the money will come

Never use a credit card as a loan. If you cant afford to buy it, then don't.

You're good enough. You're smart enough. And gosh darn it, people like you.

Don't ever smoke !
