I've got a 2021 250sx I'd consider parting ways with if that's something you're interested in. Great condition

That's a bit too much bike for the intended recipient. I'll keep you in mind though! My guess is he out grows the 125 in relatively short order.

My 16 year old is ready to upgrade his bike. He has a 2021 Honda CR125 "small wheel". It's in good to great shape, has electric start and fuel injection, runs like a top. Tires are original but hold air and it has been stored inside. We do need to rebuild the forks (I can take care of that prior or give some $$ off). Let me know if you're interested and I can post some pics and figure out a price. We are in the Longview/Tyler area.

It's a great bike. This is a 2 stroke race bike, pretty powerful. Under 30hrs. Which is like new. I had ambitions to ride more than I'm able to with a 3 yo and 1 yo. Love the bike it just doesn't get used. I think I'd let it go for 5k. Would throw in some things that go with it..stand, power band springs, gas can, oil. etc

Neighbor has an EV dirt bike. First time I saw it I thought "man they are making these dirt bikes quieter than what my friends had when I was young."

Turns out it's an EV. He carved out some trails on their property and moved some dirt around and has a good amount of variation in elevation considering where we live. Him and his son both ride it and it performs like any dirt bike, just no noise and dealing with fuel.

If I was in the market, I would go that route.

That's a beautiful bike and I looked at some comps and your price is fair. I think that's a little more bike than my son needs…..we are a 4 stroke family just trail riding. I didn't realized that model was 2 stroke before I asked. I'd be looking for something closer to $3K I think too.

It's a little more than anyone needs , but fun AF I'm sure.

I had a CR250 2 smoke and "upgraded" to the smaller 150sx cause I was exhausted after 2 laps of trying to hold on.

I had a RM250 when I was 18-19. It was missing 1st gear and I only got about 2 hours of riding out of the compression ring (it was max bored and pretty worn out). It didn't matter, when it did run it was stupid fast.

That bike is the main reason I want him to stay with 4 strokes for now. Still plenty fast with easier to manage power bands.

reverse your thinking here. It's not that you don't have time, you just need to incorporate those kids in the riding! I have a 2021 CRF50 I want to unload. My kid has graduated to a 110. First $1,200 takes it.

Check out a KTM 150SX if you can. 20% more displacement than a 125, but IIRC it's the same bottom end as the 125SX. I think the power band is a little flatter w/ the heavier piston and it moved all 190 lbs of me just fine. It did bog a little bit in deep mud at 3 Palms one time, but other than that, I loved it. Sold cause riding friend got married and moved to Dallas.

Sweet! This is why I started this thread. Now, who has a 125?

$2400 if I fix the fork seals, $2200 as-is. Best I can tell that's what much older bikes are going for. I forgot that the engine sprocket chain guard was missing too, it was that way when we bought it.

I actually just double checked, this bike is the crf125 FB, which is the big wheel version. I had it in my head that it was a small wheel, but it's not.
