Even though MSU had a RPI of about 20, I was wondering if they belonged since they missed the SEC Tournament, but especially because of the way they played against us. 2 #4 seeds out, and FSU beat #114 Loyola only 1-0.
Fun fact: Central Conn St hasn't played anyone with an RPI better than 133 this year! 133!!! And that 133 was a bit of an outlier. Average RPI of their opponents this year is 245!
Looks like 6 host schools lost. There were 4 OTs but only 1 shootout. 7 teams from the SEC and ACC, 5 from the PAC-12 and Big-12 and 3 from the Big 10 in the second round.
Arkansas and Virginia Tech going to 2OT, both these teams are sloppy and don't deserve to be in the Sweet 16. Whoever advances is going to get murdered by UNC
Both games that were supposed to be played in Stanford today will be played about 2 hours away due to air quality. Maybe that'll be enough of a hiccup for Stanford to lose so we can host the Elite 8 game. (Probably not)
Both A&M and Tennessee seem to be getting stronger through each round (A&M won 1-0, then 2-0; Tenn won 2-1, then 3-2). If the pattern holds then Tennessee will beat A&M 3-4. Should be exciting.
