Ugh. This delay will cause me to miss the end of the match.

Anyone have a good dodgey website where one can watch the game if Fubo or Paramount doesn't work?

Really bad look by both sets of fans, and Champions Leagues. I guess this sort of thing has to happen every 20-30 years as people forget the last tragic deaths due to it?

I don't think the fans should be looked on poorly at all. Mobs of people trying tog eat through 1 damn gate is a recipe for disaster. This is on the organizers.

Don't think you should excuse crushing people at the gates, and then illegally climbing gates to enter the stadium
It's definitely extremely poor prep and organization of course

Yeah UEFA is definitely at fault, but it doesn't change the fact that the fans reacted by crushing. Not to be callous, but Liverpool fans especially should know better

All I'm saying is that what we saw is a human reaction. If it wasn't Liverpool fans then it would've been someone else's fans.

Imagine the scenes at a Houston Texans game if there was one gate open. You'd see people doing the same thing. Ultimately this is on UEFA and the organizers.

Did you see the line of thousands of people being let on one by one through a single gate?? That's a recipe for disaster.

Liverpool fans in England are like West Virginia football fans…I think your point is well founded.

I am dumbfounded. Angle clearly showed it being played by the Liverpool player with NO CONTACT from RM.

Couldn't hear the audio. How is it offsides when 2 defenders were between him and the goal?

There definitely weren't 2 players between him and the goal. The question is how did the ball get to him. I think it was clearly from Liverpool.

It was one, not two when the ball was knocked in front of the scoring player, and he came back on sides to play the ball.

The officials are saying it was not a deliberate play by the defense so the player who was off sides remained offsides.

If the defender had deliberately played the ball, like tried to clear it on purpose and misplayed the ball, then the goal would stand.

I'm still wondering how he was on with the initial pass through at the start of the whole sequence.

Edit: for the record, it looked pretty clear to me that the defender was trying to play the ball or get in front of it to block any attacking player from getting the ball. How that's not "deliberate" is beyond me.

Pretty sure he was on side for the first through ball.

The idea that two players are required to avoid the offside rule when the goal keeper has come off his line is insane.

Yeah, he looked off to me on the first ball over the top, but they never drew any lines to check that instance.

And the law is two defenders between the man and the goal when the ball is played. Doesn't matter what type of defenders.

It's always been two players. Everyone seems to forget that the goalie is the second player 99.97% of the time.

To me, the Real Madrid player plays the ball first, then it ricochets off one Liverpool player and then into the 2nd and then into the path of Benzema.
Thats not the same as making a tackle, winning the ball, and it going into Benzama's path. I dont think you can intentionally play the ball if the Real Madrid player kicks it first.

Liverpool should have been up 1-2 goals after the opening 25 minutes, have to be clinical
PatAg

Anytime someone follows through like that, they are generally shooting...but he put that ball right on his foot, so it almost has to be intentional right

Games are less fun to watch when you want both teams to lose. At least there was good soccer played through most of it.
