After the double draw by Wycombe and Wrexham last match day the immediate field started to look too close too, so it was nice to see Charlton reciprocate by just getting a point this match day. Wycombe is still the biggest threat, but it's kind of fun to see last season's bete noire Stockport at No. 4. I hope Notts County makes the leap to League One this year too (they're currently in playoff position).

I was in the UK for the Liverpool-West Ham game so my friend and I took a quick train ride to Wigan to catch the Wrexham-Wigan game. I can confirm it was indeed a sluggish affair. However, the away end was FULL. Not a single empty seat and the Wrexham faithful made themselves heard throughout the 90 mins. So that made it a fun experience.

Back in action today, Wrexham is away to Blackpool (tenth). Wycombe is home against Charlton Athletic (fourth)
Wrexham win 2-1 and Wycombe lose 4-0 to put Wrexham back in the automatic promotion spot. Goal difference is now tied up at +28 with Wycombe leading in goals scored 69-62. 2 games remaining.

I had to do some math in my head when I saw this. It really doesn't feel like the National League was only 2 years ago especially with the team fighting for promotion to the Championship

Can't they also with a win and tie by Wycombe? That would put them 4 points clear with one game left.
I think Wycombe plays 5 hours prior to Wrexham as well tomorrow. So they'll know going into their game.

The club just paid back a 15M pound loan to the owners… if that same 15M pounds is put into payroll next year, they're a playoff-capable squad. That assumes no new income (which there will be) and that Rob-Ryan don't give another loan (which they might).
