Hayes has really done a great job of building a pipeline for the WNT. Watched the matches against Ireland and there are young players all over the field and looking like they belong. Really impressed 18yr old CB, Jordyn Buggs, starting against Ireland today. There is competition all over the place!

It's odd how Hayes has the freedom to experiment with her roster and Poch doesn't. They both did similar things but letting some mainstays have a rest while bringing in new blood for evaluations in this window. Poch got hammered and Hayes mostly went unnoticed.

Results matter. Poch was already on thin ice and then the friendly results exacerbated the problem.

If we had won Nations League, and/or if he had validated his choices by winning the friendlies a couple weeks ago then no one would care.

She's 21-2-2.
He's 10-5, and before this tournament he was 5-5, including losses where we didn't look like we even belonged on the field with our opponent (Switzerland). So yeah, he has a bit more to prove in his approach than her.
