Also seen some stuff on Julian Alvarez. Doesn't make sense in terms of money because Atletico just paid 100m for him a year ago, but he did have nearly 30 goals for them this year.

I think this is just because of Berta and just the usual rumor mill. Makes no sense and I don't see him moving at all.

Glad we're getting Zubimendi done ASAP. When you list out the roster like above, the midfield hurts the eyes.

I am interested to see if Reiss Nelson sticks around one more year kind of like Tierney just did. Really too bad for him with the long injury.

I guess I'm cool with Sesko over Gyokeres. Either one makes us better. I imagine Arteta likes that Sesko is more similar to Havertz in build and attacking skill set than Gyokeres. Some might say that's a reason to go after Gyokeres

Quite a bit of reaction online to the Sesko. Lot of people furious that we aren't going for Gyokeres. If you just look at stats, I get it. Gyokeres had something like 80+ goal involvements this year including 60 goals. Only "downside" to that is he had 21 penalties in there and we all know Arsenal aren't getting 20 penalties in a year.

Like you said, Sesko matches what Arteta seems to really like, but he definitely needs so more development. I wonder how much of this is kinda in reaction to missing out on Isak a few years ago. Hypothetical, but maybe they really don't want to miss out again.

Gyokeres also gets far more service in the box than Sesko and is generally terrible in the air given his size/frame.

While we need to sort the ST situation out, I have become convinced that Zubi is actually the key to opening up the transition offense that will prevent teams from just sitting back on us. Our biggest issue the last 2-3 years is that the CMs and/or FBs had to pitch in to help mitigate deficiencies at DM. That slowed our transition and allowed defenses to recover. Zubi's skillsets should allow MO to push forward and the FBs to get higher up field quicker to create a much quicker counter.

Hopefully we can get the Zubi deal done ASAP. It seems like transfers with him drag out and then collapse. Coupled with the Sociedad President saying that they wanted Zubi to go to the international window and think about it rather than get it done now definitely seems like they are trying to drag it out. Need Raya and Merino to get in his ear and push this through

You made a timely point. Was listening to Clive discuss personnel moves and he said this very thing about Saka speaking with MLS about RM.

Also, after listening to him discuss Sesko as a player (vs Gyorkes) made a lot of sense. Maybe I am just looking at the move behind an Arsenal lens.

Rumors coming out that we are close to signing a 17 year old Greek wonderkid for 45m from Genk in Belgium. Not sure its true because its basically the same type of player as Nwaneri who we are already trying to find minutes for.

Nuno Tavares is officially gone to Lazio.

Also news coming out that we are looking at Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. Villa probably need to sell players because they failed to make Champion's League. Rogers would be a heck of a signing.

Harry Symeou did a show effectively shutting down the Geno Wunderkind rumors. Others are saying maybe there's a chance. but I hope that's something they can find a way to do this year or next. He looks really good.
