He was suspended for 6 months for trying to get Messi's jersey. I think this was his first game back. It's a little surprising. Then again it's CONCACAF so it's normal operating procedure.LeonardSkinner said:
A Mexican referee with questionable decision making and game control in a USMNT match?
Never seen that before.
Could not disagree more on Arfsten and Agyemang, agree with everything else.oh no said:
I was unimpressed with freeman multiple times throughout the match- defensively, making the attacking transition runs, passing/touch/technical skill
Post game, Lalas and Donovan both seemed unimpressed with Agyemang and I disagree. He was close several times, but he's got technical skill, tactical awareness, size and speed, and he was aggressive.
Luna is a dog with excellent vision and touch. He'll be in the WC squad next year imo.
Tillman continues to get better and better in his development
Arfsten- I hadn't seen him much before- could he be the guy behind Jedi at LB finally? He played smart and made all the runs.
Behalter- great ball on the assist, but he looked like a quick and skillful 6 with smart decisions and great passes all night. Is he going to surpass the fading LDLT and Johnny by next year's WC?
I hope Luna makes it. Solid technically and has that fireoh no said:

He definitely is at best #3, behind Pepi and Balogun. As Dike gets back to fitness, wonder if Poch will bring him in for a look as he's probably more polished than Agyeman with similar skillset.Milwaukees Best Light said:
Agyeman doesn't have it. Move along.
I don't have a clear-cut #1, 2, 3 in our player pool at center forward.akm91 said:He definitely is at best #3, behind Pepi and Balogun. I think he's definitely behind Balogun (17 caps, 5 goals) and Pepi (23 caps, 12 goals) and in the mix with the others as the 2nd tier. The guys in the 2nd tier just hasn't shown they can consistently score for USMNT, Sargent included.Quote:
I'd put Agyeman solidly in the mix with all of them right now and he's going to continue to improve.
Ream, Richards, Freeze at the back end seems solid though... but is Ream aging out too much for next summer WC?akm91 said:I think he's definitely behind Balogun (17 caps, 5 goals) and Pepi (23 caps, 12 goals) and in the mix with the others as the 2nd tier. Side note - this squad for the Gold Cup are lacking two things:
1. Ability to dribble past people
2. Team speed
