I've heard a number of pundits belittle the Club World Cup as a whole, ESPN FC chief amongst them. While it's not the same as winning the Champion's League or the EPL outright it should at least be mentioned how much money is on the line for winning the CWC. At the current conversion rate Chelsea made about $112MM for winning the CWC. No one gave Chelsea a chance in their predictions going up against PSG who beat the tar out of Inter Milan in the UCL final and also Real Madrid in the CWC semifinal. If the results of that tournament don't matter Chelsea can show them the deposit slip.
