We played scared and timid against a sun belt team. For most of the match it felt like an older sibling playing keep away from a little kid.
We have 5 more non conference games to go and we're only at 1 win. Then comes an sec schedule where we'll be the favorite in possibly 1 game, maybe none at all

Have they ever aside from playoff games?
When I was on premium as a student they would do some games, but we were also winning back then

TA is making too much money with the athletic department, they will not cover any team not performing. Their WBB coverage is next to nothing too

Joni didn't build the program. This collapse in soccer is far worse. I'm not sure soccer is as deep as wbb is in the country

Speaking of, there was no weekly presser for this week's matchups and the 12th Man YouTube page conveniently forgot to post the post game presser for the Lamar game. I mean if I were them I'd keep G and his errant mouth away from the media as much as possible, still it's comical how they have to protect him from further embarrassing our program.

We completely dominated the second half and outshot them 16-3 in the game, but you have to finish your opportunities. The ref did call offside on a goal for us in the first half that appeared to clearly be a bad call. We missed some easy ones in front of the goal that could've been tapped in but we hit them hard and over. I thought we were pretty clearly the better side tonight, but ucla was also the better side tonight and lost 0-1 to Tennessee when Tennessee only had 1 shot on goal the entire game (yep, Shea again).

Less than a decade ago this program was a regular NCAA tournament team and competing for national championships. Now they can't even beat Texas State and barely squeek by Lamar. Utter embarrassment.
It was only 5 years ago we reached the Elite 8 and had a solid program. It went downhill in a hurry.
Shea definitely gave herself a better chance to be on a winning team
Reese Rupe saw her first minutes of the season. Savannah Hutchins took a shot to her left shoulder and it looked to bother her. Late in the second she was running with the ball down the right sideline and when a Bobcat player bumped her on that shoulder Hutchins lost the ball because of the pain. Holly Storer made her first start of the season.
Buchanan and Diaz continue to be bright spots. Pulled a deflating tie out of a devastating loss.
I liked what I saw from Rupe in that limited action of 10 minutes. Yes, Hutchins was laboring pretty badly.
Savannah didn't just get bumped. She was slammed hard by their girl. Pushing and pulling on jerseys is their plan of action. Proud of our girls who never stopped playing.

Certainly a next level of physicality, which many of these girls haven't experienced. Glad they are getting to see some of it now as SEC play will be even more physical. Gotta keep playing hard, and need to finish more of our chances.
