I'm going to give him more than one scrimmage before I decide if I like his coaching style or not. This program has fallen off dramatically the last 4-5 years and it will take time to build back up. Let's go Coach!

Aggs 4-0 over tech today. 2-0 in the first period, 2-0 after second period and 4-0 after final period. Goals by Churchill, Buchanan (pk), Crooks and Diaz. Dominated the game with most of their shots coming from 25+ yards out. They did get a pk in the second period off a handball by one of our forwards who had come back to defend a free kick, but fuller saved the pk. Pretty much same line-ups as last week I think, with the exception of storer starting at outside back instead of Wilson. Churchill earned the pk that Buchanan buried. Crooks' goal was off a free kick that she headed in. Diaz goal was a rocket from 20-ish yards out.

What an amazing result! Tech was a 6 seed in the ncaa tourney last year and lost in the second in PK's to North Carolina

I'm impressed

Was a nice showing for sure. I think we beat tech 1-0 in spring last year, but we were clearly the better side today. Tech has fsu transfer goalie, but they lost one of their better players to transfer too.

Churchill was every bit what was advertised after last week's game. She is dangerous and knows how to finish. We only played the freshman goalie and fuller today. Not sure if the other goalie is hurt or what the story is. Freshman goalie got hurt in the second period (she started too). She went out of the game after a brief stoppage, but looked like maybe just a muscle strain. Nice pk save from fuller too. Both of our goalies look like they are 6ft tall.

Seems like many on here are thirsting for info.

As another poster mentioned, we were clearly the better side. 4-0 result was a nice surprise. We looked faster, fitter, and more organized. Tech isn't a slouch program. Yes, they lost a lot of valuable pieces, but they've been near the top or at the top of the table of Big 12 for several years now. A positive step forward!

A fundamental difference has been the formation, 4-4-2 versus traditional 4-3-3 for Aggie soccer (or when we've basically given up before the game has even started and played in a 10-0-1 but that's another story).

Notable has been the play and defense of our outside mids/wingers. They're not playing as high, and track back very well to help defend the flanks. Cate/Lacher have been very good in this respect. Have seen an improvement in Cate's game. She's made a nice transition to the outside after being in the central midfield in her first season last fall.

Churchill looks to be a bonafide stud. The first goal was special. Took pass from the wing with back to goal, a couple touches, turned and ripped a beauty near the upper 90. Also drew the foul to setup PK for second goal. Strong, fast, skilled and works really hard. G did good with getting her to Aggieland.

I really like the tone of these updates. Here's hoping the upward trajectory continues.

I'm really liking Shuttleworth on the sideline. Non-stop teaching by him.

Now 3-0 with two minutes to go in the first 30. I think it was Diaz to Churchill on the goal but it might have been Churchill to Diaz. It happened too fast for me.

If Bobby has any chance, he has that white board out teaching and showing his player's something visually.

Another good performance from Bobby and team and still trending upward. Lamar wasn't a strong side, but yes we dominated. Goalies were never threatened. 12 goals for and zero allowed so far this spring.

We had more players sitting out than we had subs available. Hopefully we get some of them back soon.

I'm trying not to overhype a freshman before she's played her first real match, but this one keeps really impressing. That's all I'm gonna say for now.

Something else to note, how many set piece goals did we have all last year? Zero maybe? Or maybe it was zero off of corner kicks? Two solid goals off long free kicks the last two matches.

I was looking forward to hearing how the team looked against Houston. Only a small sample of 3 spring games, but going 3-0, with 12 goals for and none against seems like a step in the right direction. Will be interesting to see how active we are in the spring portal and which current players aren't with us still in the summer.
