This is the official thread for all Group B coverage. Group B contains co-hosts Canada, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Qatar and Switzerland.

Switzerland looks to be the best squad in the group, but Canada will have something to prove on home soil. Our maple flavored neighbors are still looking for their first ever World Cup win. It should come in the group stage against 2 of the weaker teams in the tournament. Bosnia is still having a 40 year old Edin Dzeko lead the line, but he did have 6 goals in 10 games in qualifying.

Oops wrong group my bad

Switzerland destroyed USA in a friendly one year ago... but in their WC send off friendly match last week, they drew 1-1 with Australia. In March, they drew 0-0 with Norway. In their last WC qualifying match in November, they drew 1-1 with Kosovo. I don't think the Swiss are entering the tournament in expected traditional Switzerland form. However, this group is quite weak. Expect the Jesse Marsches and the Swiss to handle it and advance easily and I would not expect one of the 8 (of 12) third place group finishers to advance to come out of this group.

Qatar is really bad. almost all losses or draws in every international match in the last year. loss to Palestine. draw to Syria. loss to zimbabwe. drubbing to Tunisia. drubbing to Russia. draw to bahrain. loss to lebanon.

Canada has never secured even a point at the World Cup. Even a draw would be historic

So apparently I read this morning that FIFA was not happy about the full commercial breaks during the water stoppages. I wonder if Fox will stop doing that

The only things big about Katy Perry are the obvious things. And they're not what they once were, if we're being honest.
I'm not advocating for them, but I dunno, Chappell Roan or Sabrina Carpenter are at least more currently relevant?
