This is why I love the NBA playoffs. That was just one win, we still need 3 more. Yes we kicked their ass but that is not going to happen every time. We're about to go on the road and anything can happen. But when the Spurs are on, gonna be hard to beat by anyone.

How I sleep after a huge Spurs win.
Keldon Johnson had promised his lifelong boys he’d get them all Rolex watches if he won 6MOY. But then when it came down to him going to get them, the fellas changed their mind and asked for cars. Of course, KJ made it happen. They’re ecstatic.

Look at the shot charts. We only took two 2s outside the paint.
We won Points in the Paint 58-36.
Some takeaways:
1. ATTACK THE RIM. Basketball equivalent of RUN THE ****ING BALL. We won PITP 58-36. Fox and Wemby led the way early.
2. Trap Ant and Randle. They cannot handle being trapped. They had 9 turnovers. Gobert added another 4. Keep trapping them. Ant's explosiveness isn't there, so it makes the trapping that much more effective.
3. 41% from three. If we hit our open shots, we almost never lose. In the regular season, we shot 37% in wins and 31% in losses. In the playoffs it is 43% in wins and 23% in losses. Attack the rim, move the ball, hit the open shot. Hitting 41% is especially good since we started 0-8.
4. TRANSITION. We won transition 29-5 in game 2. Gobert, Naz, and Randle are too slow to get back. Ant can't do everything on two bum wheels. Even at 100%, their transition defense is mid at best. But their halfcourt defense is good. They have a shallow bench and we have three elite PGs that can push the pace, plus Carter, JuJu and Devin. Make them run, even if you are going to do a dribble through. Wear them out and get rewarded with free baskets.
5. Depth. We are 10 deep with Bryant back. They are starting Conley (18mpg) and Shannon (12mpg), have Ant on a minutes restriction. Shannon is an ISO scorer only - he can't pass. Ayo is probably out. We have to run the hell out of their guards. The more minutes they have to play Bones Hyland and Jaylen Clark, the bigger we will win. Utilize that depth by running hard in transition over and over.
6. LUUUUUUUUUKE. Taking Wemby out and having Luke destroy them in the paint was huge. They were ready to go on a run, but the opposite happened. 13 minutes, 4 points, 3 blocks, +22. When the lead increases with your backups, it deflates the other team.

Keldon was my neighbor for a couple years. He loves cars. Loves them so much our ass goblin neighbors complained to the HOA about all the cars parked in the streets.
I told him I'll go to the HOA meeting with him to tell them to shove it. He decided to move to the country haha

The Spurs demoralized them so bad they even stopped getting back on defense. That looked like an AAU game where one team wanted to be there and the other did not.
Marc Stein says that Orlando and Chicago are interested in Sean Sweeney. Sweeney won't take calls from New Orleans.

Ooh yeah. Oh well. They missed a call that went in our favor. I can live it given how Castle has been used and abused by the refs.
Also ...re: Sweeney...if he leaves (I assume he will) what if we brought Tiago back as a big man coach? I know he's not as great a passer as Bobo but dang, prime Splitter was a great piece for us.

This is not a travel by Champagnie because he fumbles the ball (loses control) as he’s jumping to shoot. By rule, a player is permitted to recover a fumble at any time. Legal play.
