Citi Field is awesome. I was pleasantly surprised with that one.

We had a great time last night at Citi Field. Because my brother was being honored, we were treated as VIPs. Had great seats in the Clover Club (not a suite but right in front of the lower level suites) walked all around the stadium before the game and the Mets won. It was close though.

The Mets were leading 10-5 going to the 9th. The Dbacks fought back. The closer came in and gave up 2 HRs in 3 pitches and was viciously booed by the home fans. Finally got the last out and the stadium was electric like the two HRs never happened.

All of us were pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to Fenway tomorrow.

I had a similar mission but with the rate of ballparks being replaced, it has sort of morphed into seeing a home game in each city so I don't have to repeat a bunch of places I have no interest in going back to.

I grew up in Houston so I spent my childhood at the Dome....and did an internship at MMP one summer....and have been a life long Cubs fan so those are easily my three most visited parks.

We did a couple of family trips when I was a kid....

Astrodome
Ballpark in Arlington
Wrigley Field
Comiskey Park (mid-90s version)
Jacobs Field
Three Rivers Stadium
Camden Yard

In college I took a handful of roadtrips with either my roomate or my dad each summer

Yankee Stadium (2001 version)
Fenway
Jacobs Field
Cinergy Stadium
PNC Park
Camden Yard
Turner Field
Kauffman Stadium
Busch Stadium (2002 version)
Wrigley
US Cellular
Comerica
Skydome
Miller Park
Metrodome
Dodger Stadium
PacBell Park
Veterans Stadium
Shea Stadium

The rest I've just picked off one by one over the years....
Coors
Dolphins Stadium
Busch Stadium (current version)
Safeco Park

Most of those stadiums are gone or go by a different name now

The three I enjoyed more than I expected at the time were PNC, Kauffman, and Dodger Stadium.

I also did a tour of Petco when we played in the Holiday Bowl, but I haven't seen a game there

So what I have left is....Tampa, Arizona, DC, Oakland, San Diego, Anaheim

Knocked off the Nats last week with a game at Nationals Park. We missed getting to see Bryce Miller pitch by a day!

You never went to old Yankee…that stadium ended in 1975… you went to older new Yankee and new across the street from where it sat Yankee

Any recommendations on travel from PHX airport to Chase Field? Is the tram reliable and/or easy?

This will get my stadiums needed down to single digits and teams I havent seen down to two.

I've been chasing seeing Cleveland play all the years. They're the only team I've never seen in person.

There's a light rail stop at Sky Harbor that takes you to 2 blocks from Chase. Last season a guy in an Astros cap was at the rail stop after the game so I walked up and talked to him. He had flown in for an afternoon game and flew back after the game.

That's what I'm doing. I plan on doing the rail. We shall see.

Whenever I go I ride the rail. I believe the stop number for the airport is 24 and it's near 44th Street. Take the sky train to that stop.

Any recommendations for things to do in/around Camden??? I'm going with my roommates from our A&M days and would love any recommendations on sports bars or good restaurants.

Seems like a lot of PNC love. Considering a mid-week quick 2 day trip in September to see the Cubs play. Would be myself and 11 yo son. Should be able to get good seats with the Pirates being terrible again.

Any tips for a really quick father/son trip? Would likely fly in Tuesday morning for a game that night, and then fly back home Wednesday night after the 12:30 pm game. Just Uber to/from airport with minimal bags.

Seems like the Residence Inn right by the stadium would be convenient and not overly pricey.

Went to Chase Field yesterday and had the luxury of seeing Skenes pitch. Dude is unreal right now.

Stadium itself was fine, pretty average. Concourses reminded me a lot of Minute Maid. Public transportation is the way to go for this one. $2 to ride the Metro.

Then as you leave the stadium, there's this..

And a couple more just for fun.

Going to try and take the kids to Coors Field next week for a day game. Any pro tips on this one? Can I wait until last minute to steal some good seats cheap?
BCSWguru

I had an unpleasant experience in the upper, right field section (think they call it the Rooftop). If I was single and in my twenties, it would have been fun. Took the kids and i should have gotten tickets elsewhere. Everything else was good there.

Going to Chicago in two weeks

What time to get in to grab seats in the bleachers for the cubs?

What would be good for white Sox? Thought about bull pen but could get other seats.

Yes....they're terrible.

I bought two tickets for a Thurs day game against the Astros a couple weeks ago the day before....down the LF foul line 2 rows up from the field for $35/ea

For a day game at Coors Field, maybe sit behind home or on the 1st base side - somewhere you can see the scenery beyond the left field portion of the stadium. I imagine tickets will be easy to get.

Any advice for Fenway? Going in September.
AgRyan04
How long do you want to ignore this user?
For Fenway if you're trying to sit in the main grand stand definitely find one of the websites that has pictures from each seat to avoid columns.

Definitely take the train

We went in 2010 and at that time there was a fan club (I think it was called Sox Nation or something like that) and if you were a member they let you into the park like 30 minutes before the gates opened and took you up onto the Green Monster for part of batting practice. Not sure if it still exists but that was an awesome experience.

For my game at Coors, some popped up about 15 rows directly behind home plate this morning. A little more than I wanted to spend, but we're going to a game 12 hours from home so why not. Perfect view and I think we'll get shade.

In Pittsburgh visiting my BIL and going to the game Friday. I'm worried I won't see Skenes pitch with the inning he pitched last night in the ASG.
Oh well, still a bucket list stadium.

I took my son to his first Astros game when he was 8. Not long after that he got the idea that it would be cool to go to all of the mlb stadiums… same idea I thought would be awesome when I was a kid.

Now he's 26 and we have been to home games for 17 teams. (18 total 2 stadiums for the Rangers). We try to make at least 1 per year. Missed a couple of years, and been to 2 a couple of years.

Last year we got Boston and Seattle.

This years trip was to an Angels game back in April.

Hopefully we can start getting more than 1 in per trip since the ones left are a little closer together.

We have been to

Astros
Rangers x 2
Rockies
Royals
Cardinals
Diamondbacks
Padres
Brewers
Twins
Marlins
Rays
Braves
Phillies
Yankees
Mariners
Red Sox
Angels

When I was much younger, I had been to the Astrodome and Arlington Stadium. A few years after I finished at A&M, I took a trip to Washington, DC, and spent one day that week in Baltimore. It was my first non-Texas MLB game. It was the year Cal Ripken set the record for (consecutive games played?) A couple of years later, I took a trip to Chicago, where I took in games at Wrigley and new Comiskey. Sometime in that time frame I also saw games at the Ballpark in Arlington (multiple times even though I lived in Houston). One was on the same night the Ags lost to ULL in football. Then MMP opened and I went there a lot; it helped that my office was right on the outskirts of downtown.

In 2001, I was planning a trip to Boston when 9/11 happened. Obviously that derailed that trip. It wasn't long after that I met my wife … and I hadn't thought about this quest to go to all the MLB stadiums since. Until last summer when we went to Colorado during A&M's Omaha run. Unfortunately we weren't able to fit in a game at Coors Field, but now that quest has been rekindled for me. I will make these stadiums happen if at all possible in future travels.

So, turns out my BIL has a close friend whose dad does radio or something for the Red Sox. He's got a gold card. He scored us tickets behind home plate (section 115) for the Pirates game tomorrow
