On the team’s pregame radio show on @SportsTalk790, GM Dana Brown said Luis Garcia would likely make one more rehab start, with McCullers likely to join the rotation first.

He has always been streaky. His main problem for us is that he was pretty bad during the playoffs, and it was not a small sample size.Quo Vadis? said:
Speaking of slumps, Kyle Tucker only xbh have been 1 HR and 3 doubles since the start of July, and only has 6 singles this month.
Dana Brown said there is a possibility Yordan Alvarez could return to the Astros' lineup in the back-half of the series in Baltimore next weekend, but it sounded more like they were targeting the homestand. https://t.co/Ze5kUBDKzE

Espada has a philosophy that adds wear and tear and increases the likelihood of the leverage guys getting hurt.
Every outing is a crap shoot.
Multiple innings, high pitch counts, high stress pitches all increase the risk.
Espada treats 4 run games like save situations pitching Hader and Abreu instead of Sousa and Okert.
He pitches them 2 innings. He has them warm up in blowouts.
Espada injured Hader
I'm trying to figure out how this got 5 stars.

Because it's just facts?
We've had the worst injuries of any team in baseball. Hader isn't an isolated incident. He's just the last in a long string of injuries due to completely mismanaging players.
It's not so much the volume of innings in Hader's case as it is the stretches of two inning outings when throughout his entire career he's been vocal about only doing those on occasion. He really should be a one inning guy.
Rushing Meyers and Parades into the lineup after they've expressed discomfort is also another problem with his management.
This isn't just some "bad luck" on behalf of the Astros this season

Not seeing the facts here. Hader, for instance, was on record with the Brewers that he would not pitch 2 inning outings because they would not give him a long term deal. When the Astros committed to 5 years he was completely open to 2 innings.

Orioles daddy is injured. They should be relieved. Yordan absolutely owns them.
Don't think whether Hader approves of pitching 2 innings or not is the point he is making.iamtheglove said:Not seeing the facts here.
