The problem with Lance back is we are in a six-man rotation (and thus a reliever short) at a time where we can't handle it. You have multiple starters who can give no depth and a bullpen in tatters.

You have to either consider a tandem approach or load up on more multi-inning relievers.

We aren't in a position to DFA starting pitchers. We don't have the depth

I have a chance at getting a few more squares. A lot of mine were season totals

Problem is that Lance is a head case too. He's not all the way back but even before he was hurt you never knew if he was going to be elite or drill the mascot.

Feel bad for Dubin. He was dealing before the injury. But whatever he is now isn't working.

Dana's problem is that because of the stupidly heavy work load he's having to rotate guys in the pen almost every other day. And with guys out of options, DFA is the way.

Agreed. Hope we can keep him in AAA, because he's one of the only relievers that can go long, that isn't a normal starter. 40 man churn is tough ****, but hopefully he sticks with it.
