Interesting. We are either about to get new injury news, or we are cutting someone loose. Dubin is out of options as is (I believe) De Los Santos.
Who replaced Sousa?

We aren't in a position to DFA starting pitchers. We don't have the depth

Speaking of the Rangers and hope, it's still in play for that 87-75 tie.
All they have to do is go 23-9 while we go 16-17.

SIAPThe announcers for the @cchooks were jokingly speculating Yordan Alvarez might be heading to Baltimore given Corpus had the bases loaded and Yordan was scheduled to hit, but was pinch-hit for in the seventh. Have to believe Astros Nation would be thrilled if that was fact.

NO
Lance needs to be a tandem starter right now. You can't teach his stuff. He knows how to pitch. His upside is higher than our other pitchers other than HB and Physco. I'm not so sure he won't get the physical tools in place quicker than Framber can get his head on straight.

Physco?
Phillies ace Zack Wheeler is out for the season. He’ll be out 6-8 months.
— Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) August 23, 2025
Wheeler was diagnosed with venous thoracic outlet syndrome and the recommendation is to undergo thoracic outlet decompression surgery.

Mozart.
Bennett Sousa was diagnosed with "a low-grade elbow flexor/pronator strain," after an MRI, per the Astros. He will not throw for a minimum of two weeks and will be re-evaluated in early September.

Feel bad for Dubin. He was dealing before the injury. But whatever he is now isn't working.
