Dear heavenly baby Jesus,
Give Framber super calm normal Framber brain today.
Amen

I mentioned at some point yesterday that the Jake square is already a virtual lock - he' would have to come back and go at least 0-for-98 to finish below .230. That would mean him coming back tonight and having 3.6 at-bats per game the rest of the year and not getting a hit in any of the games. But we'll wait a few more days until it's a real real thing.

I've got a realistic shot at 6 (currently have 2 because I made some bad all star picks plus didn't think Yordan would get hurt)
Pena 17 HR
Walker 25 HR
Jake over .237
Astros win AL West
Outside shot at Judge 55 HR (he would have to have a few multi HR games to get the 12 remaining but with 30 games left he could)
8 game win streak still on the table and I'd love to get that one

Hope Caratini is back to catch him. Or maybe Salazar.

This needs to be a Saladbar day.

You also have to give each guy's defensive metrics, chase %, and average launch angle before I decide.

Don't fall for the Rangers nonsense. They went on a run. They won't be able to sustain it. Haggarty, Seager, Semien, Eovaldi, & Carter all went down in Aug. We have 2 series coming up vs them. Between us and the Brewers, we'll end their season.

Are we really saying that Cesar Salazar has a better bat than Yainer Diaz?

We play bad against bad teams….so the rangers still have a shot

I understand your love for Saladbar, but don't get confused. In his tiny sample, he has a higher whiff rate than Yainer while having a much slower bat. Even if you take his minor league stats - Whiff%, K%, EV, HH%, Brl%, etc.
Yainer in full on swing mode chasing everything > Saladbar vs AAA.

I am less interested in how well he hits since Yainer is currently a black hole with RISP already. I just want somebody behind the plate who can keep Framber from melting down and maybe throw out a runner occasionally.

Everyone loves the back up QB, right?

It's good to see Espada is throwing away a Framber start.

I'm not. But I am saying I am not sad when Yainer isn't in the lineup.
