I was for it simply because I didn't think the team had a playoff run in them. Realistically, no GM would do it- especially at the deadline with all of the pitchers injured. It's easy to make bold moves when it's Monopoly money. You'd also need a trade partner willing to cough up talent for a rental. The juice was rightly not worth the squeeze at the time, and that comes from someone who wished it would have happened.
