I think it was Bogusevic on local radio today talking about lacking complementary baseball. Because the offense isn't scoring, it doesn't matter if starter goes deep (like tonight), all the pressure is on the bullpen, so there is no room for error. The story of this season will be about the regression of our offense, primarily due to losing 2 of our best overall hitters for the better part of the year. I mean, if Paredes and Alvarez never get hurt, we are probably wrapping up the division in the next few days

On paper we have the advantage tomorrow. We have hit Gausman pretty well. Not a lot of success for them against Javier. Need the good version of El Reptil to show up.

It's nice to see the offense explode for 3 runs on 2 HRs. Sequencing continues to be key with 11 baserunners.

It's no wonder all the pitchers get injured having to carry the bats all season.

Yeah, I honestly don't know wtf he was thinking there. He pulls his defensive specialist when he has the lead for the worst defensive 2B in baseball. Even if he then puts Dubon in, he still burned 2 players for absolutely zero reason.

Jays tied the game after he exited. He gets a no decision. De Los Santos gives up the hit scoring the tying run credited to Okert and gets the magical win.

Jason Alexander was DFA'd by the A's earlier this season after 4 games and an 18.00 ERA.

So of course he's pitching 7 shutout innings tonight against the AL East leaders.

GD we needed that one BAD

And damn Yanier has turned it around here lately. Guess Cintron gets no love for that?

If we somehow make the playoffs, he's #2 on my confidence meter for our starters

He's at the mercy of how ineffective the pitchers are following him despite pitching 7 full and leaving with the lead. Okert and DLS gave up more hits (4) in one inning than JA did in the game and coughed up the lead and stole the W.

I guess if he wanted the W he should have gone all 9 like the flamethrowers of yore.

Okert actually gets a Hold, because we still had the lead when he left the game. DLS gets the blown save since they tied it up, and becomes the pitcher of record moving forward.

To be fair, the Toronto staff must not have scouted Diaz because he got middle middle fastball instead of a steady dose of sliders in the other batters box. If they keep to the book, Diaz is sitting in the dugout.
