We all agree that Manfred is a giant bajingo, but at least he got opening day right. Tampa isn't playing today due to stadium issues, but getting all the other teams to play on the same day is great. Not sure why it took them that long to figure this out.

Except for almost half the league not playing Friday.

Stros originally had Friday off but Apple TV wanted them for the Friday game so now Sunday is the off day.

Makes absolutely no sense to me why the pageantry, fan fare, momentum of Opening Day is all just stopped one day for a an off-day 1 game into the season.

Carry all that momentum into the weekend and keep things going. Instead it's one game then day off for half the league.
