Jose's so good at base running they figured he could just run a scramble drill and confuse the defense.

If they are going to give Altuve a lot of DH at-bats for now, then they ought to replace Hummel with Salazar so that we can freely use Caratini as top PH off the bench.

Probably an acknowledgement that he and Melton are not that different right now and they would prefer to keep Melton where he can play every day, while Hummel can sit the bench for spot starts/PH duty.
