For a little fun today, who is this?
I'm sure Farmer will get it in about .3 ms.
Kyle Tucker.

How stupid is it that Yordan has played 29 games this season?
Not as stupid as the lack of progress towards a solution. Or information regarding a solution. Or information in general.
We are going to find out in November that he's having surgery and will be out next season until May.
wait till we see the end of this whole "Paredes is going to rehab the injury instead of having surgery" story
spoiler : he will have surgery in like March
Yeah now that we have Correa at 3rd I'm more okay with him getting surgery now.
That is funny, I was thinking the opposite. With Correa, it's not the end of the world if he's not ready to start 2025 because we have the corners locked down with Correa and Walker. But the benefit of getting another big bat for October outweighs 1st half Paredes in 2026.

You guys act shocked that some MLB players "play the game" of not wanting to work like other folks do.

I'm not shocked but I want to call it what it is. Paredes wants to be on the field. Our other missing big bat, it seems not.

Any update on Jake? It's been radio silence on him from the front office and media guys

Speaking of Ted, absent on this list and all four potentially could add to their totals this postseason. We still need to make the playoffs and George needs to get healthy but pretty amazing list.

(And no, running on flat ground isn't a true update given this medical staff)

He's started running. Slow build up but he's progressing.

(Not a troll, I promise, just my honest opinion)
Having watched Correa in person for ~60 games over the past 3 years, I am not sure that this is a great deal for the Astros. The guy who left 4 years ago is not the guy who is coming back.
Unconfirmed report is that the Twins cheapskate owners agreed to pay $50 million of Correa's salary. If you value 1.0 WAR at roughly $8 million, Correa needs to produce slightly over 6.0 WAR over the next 3+ years to make this a break even deal on value for salary. I think that is a plus/minus proposition: he is at 0.1 bWAR for the year.
Moving to third will help his defensive rating stats some.

He's at .7 bWAR through 9 games with the Astros, so looking good on that front.

Give me Vaughn! I know he hadn't done very well against this guy but I got a hunch he's due.

Been pondering this for a bit. Let's assume Jake, Yordan and Parades all come back healthy and ready to go in 2026. Who plays where? Someone will be the odd man out.
C - Diaz
1B - Walker
2B - Parades??
SS - JP
3B - CC
LF -Altuve
CF - Jake
RF - Sanchez/Cam platoon??
DH - Yordan
Parades at 2B seems to be the biggest stretch. Not sure he has the range for the position.
Thoughts?
