has a pitcher ever "let one get away" on a pickoff and thrown at the other manager in the dugout? Not wtih a guy on 3rd obvously, but seems like it would be very tempting.

Nolan's book about other pitchers is how I found out Don Drysdale made a list each off season of guys he was going to hit during the next year.
