Ballgame. We scores. We won. The train was run on the 5 bill slumpbuster and all is right.
And Yordan is coming.
Don't you mean…
BABA YAGA!

Don't know about a curveball, but Jesus can hit a fastball, slider, and change.

Any pitcher the Astros sign is a pitcher M&M wanted them to go get. There's really no downside. If they think they can make an adjustment and that he can be effective, by all means let's see what he's got.

He's an experienced reliever that's pitched on the big stage... A LOT. He's not going to randomly forget how to pitch. That alone is better than many of the options we have.
Samuel Basallo's deal with the Orioles, once completed, will begin next season and includes a club option as well. It can max out at $88.5 million and is the largest pre-arbitration extension for a catcher.

Trying to get the latest on Yordan. Last I heard is they plan for him to be in Baltimore this weekend. He feels good and is ready to go.
I think he'll be in the lineup Saturday.

Seems a bit premature for a guy with 11 total MLB plate appearances.

Get Meyers back, Melton goes down. Melton and Matthews I have hopes for, but neither are ready this year,

Agree 100%. I know the power-speed combo is always tantalizing because it's so rare (and if you don't have it you never will), but IMO if the bat to ball skills aren't there at age 25, that's going to be hard to overcome.

I've been following him since he was 17. He is the real deal, but I don't know how he can continue playing catcher at that size. He's still so raw, but the MLB isn't too big for him. If you could take his bat with Adley being the plate you'd really have something.
Personally I'd rather see them lock up Gunnar Henderson for 11 years. I can't stand how most of these outstanding kids will probably wear pinstripes sooner rather than later.

Don't they already have one of the best young catchers in the league or am I missing something.
