Espada can't be fired fast enough for my tastes…just get this miserable season over with and send that stain into orbit.

Twice this week he has pulled Caratini as his best hitter in a game for a pinch runner that left us punchless.

Absolute trash manager.

One more year at close to $20 million. He's tied for the team lead in negative bWAR with Chas as -1.0 before whatever tonight's walk and a hit in 0 innings does for it.

I bet he is cut before he gets to -1.5 WAR next season, but that's still 1/2 a season 7 ERA baseball and a blister or two.

The funniest part of losing in 12 is every single person on the roster had a chance. Every single one. Not a single one, once, could nut up and do anything at all.

Peña striking out on three pitches that were all balls. Altuve first pitch out. Correa unproductive groundout. Sanchez pop-out on 3-0. Walker just being Abreu entirely. Dubon, Urias, Diaz all not hitting it out of the infield.

There is nothing more instructive about how teamwide and complete the suckitude and failure is.

We threw Gordon against Kelly tonight. I kind of expected to lose. Would have been nice to grab the W.

Beat DeGrom and Corbin the next two days. They used a lot of bullpen.

Espada was getting fired the moment he got hired and said "Nah, I'm good…let's keep this staff intact."

I just figured he'd last longer than 2 seasons, but every judgement call he makes shows how far in over his head he is.

deGrom has thrown 14 innings of two-run ball against the Astros in two starts this year and the Astros offense is now even worse than it was then.

They're a good team. Not a great one. They certainly HAVE NOT been playing good recently. But honestly, they are playing WELL below their potential.

Maybe they close out the year how they are playing now, which is not good. But the potential is there to be good again, and if they ALL play to their potential and healthy, they could be great.

It's sad to see. We need the team from June back.
