Walker 25+ HR: He hit #22 tonight, on pace for 25.

People need to rest. 11 runs is basically a sub 2:05 hour marathon for our guys. They're probably exhausted

I'll be at the game today. I was at the game last year when Framber was one out away from a no hitter and we barely held onto the win with Jung flying out to the wall to end it. We need that type of performance from Framber today.

Went to the SLSC game last night, he looked pretty good. My son was hanging out by the rail after the game, and got a ball from the umpire when he walked by. Cole walked by soon after and my son got him to sign it.

The greatest thing I ever saw in high school baseball was a playoff series between two unnamed teams. Team A's ace had pitched a complete game 2-hit shutout in Game 1 on Thursday. The other team won Game 2. Game 3 was Saturday afternoon - so about 40 hours after Game 1 ended.

Team A was down 4-0 then got ahead 5-4 after the 5th inning. The ace pitcher played DH and after he scored the go-ahead run, he told the coach, "i'm going to go stretch." Coach says, "What for?"

Ace points at the scoreboard and says - and I excused the language this time - "It's time to close the motherf*ckers out."

He struck out the side in the 6th and then the first 2 guys in the 7th. The big slugger hit a double that missed going out by 2 feet, so they had the big confab at the mound while the other team's crowd is just roaring and screeching and you know the drill.

Pretty soon the ace and the head coach are SCREAMING IN EACH OTHER's FACES and you can hear the kid yelling, "NO **** YOU NO" at the coach and then it's super duper awkward.

Coach finally throws his hands up in the air and stalks off the mound pissed as hell, gets in the dugout, slams his clipboard down, throws a fit, and yells at the catcher, "Just call whatever, he's the genius now!"

Umpires call time in. Pitcher is talking to himself like a psycho in the loony bin, umpire says "let's go!" Pitcher starts to walk up the mound ..



and the shortstop tags the guy leading off second out. Because the whole ******* drama the mound was to set up the hidden ball trick. And the pitcher was the one who thought it up. Ended the other team's season.

To a certain extent you're correct but his are extreme. Especially for that level.

The funny thing is, we couldn't touch RH starters the 1st half of the year. It was so bad teams were avoiding throwing LH pitchers against us at all costs. Any RH pitcher with a slider was shutting us down. Amazing the difference 2 players make.
