What else is the 3rd base coach gonna tell him there. At that point its a double play. Only hope is maybe he trapped it so send him anyway. Not like he can go back to 2nd

Third base coach was thinking score Jake and get the tying run in Pena to third. Only thing that ruined it for him was that the ball was caught.

oh sorry i didn't realize that, i honestly have no clue what he was thinking, i think it's js time everyone is fired and walker, jake, and framber are all gone.

If we don't make the playoffs… this whole coaching staff needs to go.

We need to win out and we'd be in. DET plays BOS and CLE, so someone will take a loss/

That read is 100% on Jake

TP has SUCKED as a 3B coach this year.

He's awful.

This is about an unclutch team as I've seen in a very long time. Had a shot in the late innings, season the line, and we K twice and then act like dumbasses on the bases. Just incredible.

Which is hilarious considering they had more clutch hits in one month during their hot streak than they have the last 3 seasons combined

Feeling more and more like it's time to burn this down and start the hard rebuild. Starting with a completely new coaching staff. Hard rebuild means no one is untouchable. Consider all offers.

Bottom line is the Mariners have been lots, lots better since the trade deadline and we have been much, much worse. Sucks to end a season this way, but it's feeling like this team will be golfing a lot soon. I hope I'm wrong.

I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but Joe isn't going anywhere. After what he pulled the team through last year and all the injuries we've been through this year, I would consider him a lock for a third year.

If Jim will let go a gm who won him a ws he will easily fire Joe.

I agree thats what it will be ... I disagree thats what it should be

Seattle has an extremely good chance of catching Toronto and claiming the 1-seed.

Even if they squeak into the playoffs this team isn't going far with the complete inability to hit with RISP.

Jake was NOT the tying or winning run. His job is to go half way. He makes sure its on the grass before running to 3rd.

I just see a manager that has 2 seasons under his belt now and 1 full season of garbage baseball with the first half of last year and the second half of this year.

He seems to be a certified Nice Guy coach and I don't see that playing out a third season. Like Wade Phillips there's a shelf life with this style

Even discounting the stupidity of the 9th...

B6 and B8 both we had a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs.

Despite all of the other obvious struggles, the Astros are 1-9 in Framber's last ten starts. When your supposed ace finishes the season on such a pathetic stretch, it's tough to overcome.

Plenty of fingers to point, but that's probably the one that has hurt us the most.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
yes, the poor performances of the players who have been healthy all season is the true killer

Pretty damning last couple of months for Framber. I'm not going back to look it up but at some point after the break we were like 13-2 in his starts... something clearly happened.

You can't judge a manager in a vacuum as if injuries don't exist. Joe also wasn't responsible for the Abreu fiasco, but finally dumping him seemed to kick start the team last season.

One last thing - Framber has lost all respect from this fan. He's tanked so bad you'd have to wonder if he _____ (you fill in the blank).
Iambob
How long do you want to ignore this user?
He is also responsible for getting swept by the guards sox a's and a few others im missing. He is an aw shucks kind of manager: he let head case get away with crap Multiple times this year witb no repercussions . Players see that and say f that.. he is their friend and not their manager. But let's give another year and if they can't make the playoffs next year then was sack him?
Wabs
How long do you want to ignore this user?
How much money has Framber lost in the past 2-3 months? He was probably looking at a monster deal, something like 7/250 if he kept it going. Now? One year deal somewhere?

Personally, I dont like the way Joe handles this team. I want a manager with some fire and one that demands accountability. It's hard to say that Joe has either of those qualities.

Exactly. Joe would make a great little league manager where everyone has fun and jokes around and gets sno cones after the game. But he has shown absolutely zero as far as being a major league manager. He can't motivate ***** Unless a guy is a no talent career AAA player, they never play to their talent or beyond.

Broken ass Framber and Walker/Diaz striking out on 3 pitches each when it mattered most.

Must-win game tomorrow

Great point. They saw a total of 6 pitches and maybe mad contact twice?

There were a lot of mistake pitches thrown by Seattle in those last 2 innings. But our broken ass hitting approach had a lot of guys guessing and not a lot of hitting during the critical ABs
RED AG 98
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think Joe wants to be the cool, level-headed guy that's their friend. That's a great demeanor for a bench coach if the manager is old school. Not so great if that's the nature of the entire staff...

Dana and Espada really botched the Framber-Salazar fiasco

could not have handled that worse

they took the soft approach

100%. Velvet gloves because FV is mentally weak.
