It just depends on how much Crane is willing to pay to make him tradable. That contract and his production are a bad combination.

For 2 years? I bet you have to kick in $20MM. Maybe $25MM. And only Crane can make that call.

The good news is I think they have a replacement already here in Paredes and that solves a number of problems.

They could have a regular 2026 lineup of:

1B Paredes
2B Altuve
SS Peña
3B Correa
RF Smith/Sanchez (L/R matchups)
CF Meyers
LF Cole/Dezenzo(L/R) matchups
C Diaz/???
DH Yordan

I want to see Cam make forward progress next year. He really regressed the last 1/3 of the season. Sanchez did too once he came here. I guess we will be finding out just how much hitting coaches actually do next season.

It's not a full answer but his OPS relative to the league with RISP is 98. With men on its 100. He's been league average there.

Watching Cam almost get killed last night and the rest of the HBP, I really have to say if Costanza doesn't peg Raleigh in the back tonight, the coaching staff is the biggest punch of p*ssies around.

hell, I'd start Lance and let him peg Arozarena, Raleigh, and J-Rod and get him thrown out of the game, and then bring Costanza in. And I'd tell Lance to throw the first punch.

Losing I can handle. letting another team throw at your players with no response I can't.

Joe may or may not be gone next season, but Cintron and Snitker have to be. And Perezchica HAS to be. Or at least he cannot be coaching 3B next season. That's been a disaster. It's not often you see a 3B coach have that much negative effect.

A loss tonight and you can pretty much forget about winning the division being effectively 4 down with 6 to play. A win and there's still some hope.

We have nothing in the way of tiebreakers going for us against any of Boston, Cleveland, Detroit or NY (3-3 against the Yankees, not sure what's next if we ended up even), so we'll have to finish clear of any of them for wild card slots.

Need Costanza to come up big tonight.

He's not a major league manager and it's obvious

you know, thats a good point and one I was thinking about today

maybe his style transfers a lot better to managing and developing minor leagues players and thats why the team over performed when we were playing mostly minor leaguers and never could hack it type players

once the big egos and personalities came back, he could not get things figure out

The problem is Framber pitching at the end. I'm fine with him not available for a game 3 in the playoffs. Frankly we may be better off if he doesn't.

He's broken. Mentally he's a broken irreparable mess.

I'd agree with you if this team was better. Right now we are just as likely to sweep somebody as we are to get swept. We need to go 5-2 over the next 7 and given we have another Framber start in there that'll be hard

I can't decide which Houston team has the worse offense - the Astros or the Texans.
