Against lefties I don't think he has much of a choice. Against righties Joc needs to be in the 4 hole.

Agree and your 3 hole hitter is even worse. It's the biggest reason this offense can't put up runs. I don't know what you do with those 2.

Marcus at least was ok today. His dp ball was hit HARD, had a hard hit sac fly and hitting 9th.

His OPS is barely above .660 and he's had 3 RBIs in his last 10 games. That's terrible from your 3 hole hitter.

Yeah I know Marcus has been better, but let's not get it twisted, he's one of the worst hitters in this lineup at the moment and still having an atrocious season. Garcia and Semien are probably 1A and 1B for why this offseason has been at times putrid and inconsistent. Marcus is for all intents and purposes the second worst player on the team in terms of hard hit percentage; couple that with the fact that he leads the team in under the ball percentage and it's ugly. We all know Adolis just swings and misses too much. Those two guys have to be better, it's that simple.

I just said today. We know he's been bad all year minus a couple week stretch.

Yep. I hate seeing it from those guys, but especially Marcus. He approaches the game like such a pro. Always has. It just seems he doesn't have near the pop in his bat he once had.

I read something on a site that I can't find anymore, but apparently JD and Niko were at a bar and Niko convinced JD that defense wins championships so JD decided to ignore offense and shove all in with Pederson. Pederson only looks injured because he can't hit MLB pitchers. Imagine what would happen if he could. (Yeah, I made tbat up. They met at a Starbucks)

We've already passed the trade deadline. We have to roll with what we've got.

First off, it was Ascension. Secondly, this was outdated in so many ways. JD hasn't been the GM in several years and Joc is currently the best hitter on the team.

Listen up Jack. I'm just passing along the hearsay within my social media circles.

I know many here have asked "well who else are we putting there?" and i would counter with literally anyone who will put the ball in play more often. Obviously you would prefer the 3/4 guys slug to maximize run scoring, but when your 3/4 do not make contact enough I think you just need to put someone there who will put the ball in play hard. I'll take 1 run every other game from that spot rather than the 3 run homer once every two weeks.

Adolis has a 0.6 oWAR and 1.6 dWAR. He and Heim are quite literally the worst hitters on this team who are every day players.

RH bats, your candidates to move up in the lineup would be Jung, Burger, and/or Higgy. I think Burger is expected back on Friday? But Bochy won't put him in the four hole until he has played a few games.

Seattle and New York now also own the season tie breaker against the Rangers, for what it's worth.

This would be the lineup I would put out:
1)Haggerty LF
2)Seager SS
3)Smith 1st
4)Higgy C
5)Joc DH
6)Garcia RF
7)Semien 2nd
8)Jung 3rd
9)Langford CF

I think that the order does matter at this point in the season. Semien is hitting the ball hard, but right to fielders. That will turn itself around. Seager had been scuffling, but it seems he might be coming out of it. I think Garcia needs to be in the 7th hole for a while. Clean up, I think it should be either Higgy or Jung at this moment.
