He was a finalist for the NL Gold Glove Award at shortstop this season after ranking fourth in Outs Above Average (17) in the NL. https://t.co/bo0ZY7F1K9

So help me if we traded for this guy so we could trade Pena, we riot. This seems like an uneven trade to me, and the return doesn't make sense
According to @mlbtraderumors, Nick Allen is projected to make $1.5 million in arbitration this winter. Mauricio Dubón is projected to make $5.8 million. This is a money-saving swap for the Astros.

Some other trades Dana is working on...
- Jake Meyers for the Philly Phanatics four wheeler
- Christian Walker for Anthony Rendon's contract
- Isaac Parades to Boston for an 8 track tape of Sweet Caroline

I don't get why everyone is so upset with this trade. Dubon is a guy that should have been 1 of the last 2 guys in your bench and is going to make over $6 million this year. That's a waste of money if you aren't the Dodgers.
sounds like we got a utility infielder with a similar defensive and offensive profile and saved around $4-5mm. We need to add starting pitchers so if we use that money to sign/trade for 1-2 then I'm all for it.Rule#2 said:
Most likely because you got a bag of chips in return

We traded one infield guy that barely hits above the Mendoza line for another one?
That blows.

Straight salary dump.
Either they're loading up to run at a free agent or they're dismantling the whole thing.
Guessing Allen will be a late-game defensive replacement, which means Joe will put him in during the 6th inning and wind up having Josh Hader bat twice by accident.
