I fully expect that to happen. His main value is from his defense.

I must admit, I've not seen an Aggie football team like this since 1992, and the Aggies got killed in the Cotton Bowl 28-3 by Notre Dame.

The previous year, 1991, we had a great season, only upset by that powerhouse Tulsa… to fall to Floriduh State 10-2 in the Cotton Bowl… it was miserable, cold, and rainy. Greg Hill fumbled the ball into the end zone show boating.

Call it BAS, or whatever you want. I love the Aggies. I'm just not one of these sunshine pumpers. I've seen it go bad time and time again, and it's soul-crushing.

Yeah…unless I'm missing something I don't remember debating this team being a playoff team. I remember something more along the lines of giving up on the Astros and moving on to Aggie football.

I could and it depends what you think of CW vs Contreras. If you get Donovan, Gray and Contreras for Paredes, Walker and something like Spaghetti that could make sense.

You have to see Nimmo play to understand. The stats don't tell the full story. He has a noodle arm, and he takes really long streaks of terrible at bats. He is not going to age gracefully. I have watched probably 85% of his games since he was a rookie. This deal is more about getting out from under the 5 years remaining on Nimmo (in lieu of 3 for Semien)

I like the Rangers side of this deal. Nimmo isn't special, but he's competent across the board and younger. Is 5/99 M too much for Nimmo? Yes, but so is 3/66 for Semien. Plus Nimmo's AAV is a little lower, too.

Yeah I feel like this trade was about the best possible outcome for the Rangers.

They accomplished the main objective of getting rid of Semien and that awful deal but they also get a decent piece back. They take on another meh contract but it's not Semien's so still a W for them.

Semien will probably bounce back and put up one more all-star caliber season in '26. Then Father Time will jump on his back the last two seasons of his contract.
