Wash got hosed on this one. The Angels were looking pretty good, for the Angels anyway. Once Wash left for his heart issue, they nosedived.

Tough situation for CY. I think he realized his job is on the line after wasting $500 million the past two years with diddly toot to show for it. I'm sure he didn't want to fire Bochy after what they've been through and 2023, so he wanted to let Bochy end it gracefully. Ending something mutually 1 day after you blow a 3 run extra inning lead in the last game of the season is hard to believe. If Bochy was truly done, saying so on September 1 could have been a rallying cry for the team.

Skip could be getting phone calls for other manager openings, so sitting on the Bochy decision for a week to make it look "mutual" wasn't an option.

CY has a ton of work to do with this team. Better place a bulk order for the Tom House instructional tapes.

Overall, Dallas is incredibly lucky that we have owners that will spend serious cash. Jerry may not know what he's doing as a GM (and I'm an Eagles fan anyway), but he will certainly spend money.

Yeah, I have no beef with ownership. They've been spending, and that's in spite of the fact they couldn't sell tickets to their brand new stadium in 2020 followed by all of the local tv issues and lost revenue. They are never going to be the Dodgers or Yankees, but they are providing plenty of bankroll to be successful. They've been between #4 and #8 for 3 years running. That is solid.
