Serious question...where is he? Our guys seem to take forever to come back from what we are told are relatively minor injuries. Are they just wusses who don't know how to play through a little discomfort? Or are we being lied to constantly about the severity of their injuries? I know we joke about it, but we seriously seem to have an issue with how we communicate regarding injuries.

MLB umpires have 2 way microphones and are in contact with the ABS operator during the game getting feedback on their strike zone.

Imai and some guy named Nate Pearson apparently doing rehab in Sugar Land tonight. Who is Nate Pearson?? It's getting really bad when I don't even know who the players that got hurt were - lol.

I was cracking up listening to the TV Broadcast the other day. TK or Blummer was talking about Brice in one of our Boston games and said something to the effect of - "Brice is really getting his shot in CF now, which is because of the injury to Jake Meyers. And then the injury to Joey Loperfido. And then the injury to Taylor Trammel. So now it's his time...". Can't make this up

Pearson was a top prospect (he was #10 overall in 2021) with Toronto but got injured + all the developmental messes surrounding the COVID years. Very much of the adage, there's no such thing as a pitching prospect.

After his rehab he transitioned to a reliever for Toronto and the Cubs. Not much success in the majors, stop me if you've heard this before: lots of Ks and lots of walks.

He signed with Houston because we gave him a route to starting again vs continuing as a RP.

Thanks! Was he on the opening day roster and got hurt with everyone else, or was he hurt before the season started and is just now coming back?

I believe he was rehabbing during the off-season still from something sustained last year, and he didn't finish his rehab before start of season. I'm curious how the injuries at the ML level might change his deployment but I'm guessing they plan to build him up to start at AAA and then can swing/spot start in the majors.
