Maybe nobody has noticed, but with the pitch clock, and the rate at which starting pitchers are going on the IL around the league, there's not a lot of options for Dana to just "Grab two more pitchers" other teams saw two of our guys go down. Thy are going to want more than their AAA guys are worth for Dana to "just grab them".

Also, in case no one noticed, the guy we "just grabbed" from Japan is not getting off to a prolific start.

So, I ask - if not Bauer, who? where? Like I said in a previous post, I get it that the guy is locker room cancer, but if we don't do something soon regarding pitching, this season will be over by the ASB.

She could be throwing live grenades at people, and the men would still be lining up to catch one.

The pitching is showing signs of settling down and at least being mediocre and not historically awful.

Spencer had a nice evening so hopefully that resets things a little and while it's been underwhelming in the aggregate Burrows has settled in a little.

The BP really seems to be rounding into form. France and Teng have had a couple scoreless outings, Abreu has shown signs of life, and de los Santos has had 2 saves recently.

I rather gamble on things settling down and coming back to the mean rather than panic signing Bauer of all people.

The answer is not Bauer. It's that simple.
