This teams injury luck two years in a row is beyond comprehension. Two days in a row of someone getting hurt in batting practice

This clears up the infield logjam temporarily.
This is the infield from last year before CC was acquired. This may actually help Paredes get completely back on track by knowing he will be in the lineup at 3rd almost every day.

At some point it isn't bad luck but organizational failure. Be it ignoring risks in trades/signings/extensions, bad medical reviews/diagnoses/rehabs, inadequate training philosophy, various and sundry other factors.

This creates a hole. Pena will rehab this weekend, and we'll probably see him in about a week or so. That means we get every day play from Nick Allen or Braden Shewmake.
I NEED TO KNOW WTF WE ARE DOING IN BATTING PRACTICE TO SEVERELY INJURED AN ANKLE...That is going to cause potentially months..
I think it has to be Shewmake..he's hitting over .300 with the Astros..ride the hot hand until it cools off..
It'll probably be a mix. I think Shewmake is the worst defensively of the two. I also think the most likely scenario is that Shew turns back into a pumpkin moving forward.
You're probably right about him turning back into a pumpkin before too long..We got 2 hits including a homer out of him last night off Ohtani...means he'll be 0 for his next 20
Have they said what he did? It was a late scratch yesterday so I'm assuming it was something in BP or warm ups.
