What's an off the beaten path place outside the US that almost everyone on here would recommend as an amazing 10 night trip for a couple? (Off the beaten path doesn't need to be rural or anything...just not always mentioned in travel guides. Like a Texags hidden gem!)

We did Iceland and Ireland and loved it so I know I like your style. I'll look into the Faroe Islands. How "Iceland-y" is it there, if that makes sense? Thanks!

The Azores. I did a trip report here about a year ago that you can search for. Very affordable, too!

I'll have to search that for future reference. Azores are high on my list.

Canary Islands
Great beaches, party scene if you want that, amazing Volcanos, huge sand dunes, whale watching etc.

New Zealand north island
Or Malaga Spain and dart from there for many excursions Portugal, Morocco, Granada, and Seville when you get sick of beach, wine, and tapas

I spent 2 weeks on the Faroes and loved it. Like the above posts said this group of islands interconnected via tunnels, bridges and ferries has an abundance of free hiking via sheep trails. Although relatively sparsely populated there is great grocery stores in Torshavn.

Totally agree with Canaries, Madeira and Azores with all having great hiking, whales, food and wine.

Also look at Orkney and Shetland Island which has great food, scotch and history.

Azore Islands for sure

Namibia. Cape Town. Eastern Cape of south Africa. Huge variety of climes and things to see and do. Huge variety of what you can do (Namibia you can rent a 4x4 with a tent camper you build at night and have a very outdoorsy DIY adventure, or you can turnkey stay at a place like Naankuse where you eat chef food and throw legs of animals over a fence and watch lions and leopards and cheetahs eat at point blank range. Done Namibia and Cape Town 3 times each, eastern cape once.

Cape Town has everything. Eastern cape has lush expansive remote safaris and amazing wildlife of all kinds, we did a week at a place called Phinda Mountain Lodge that felt like we were the only guests for 100,000 acres.
