Wife and I are headed to ATELIER Playa Mujeres with a group of friends in November for my 40th.

Hearing a mix of reviews but it looks to check most boxes. All inclusive, no kids, easy flight out of Austin, good food options.

Ke'e Beach on Kauai with a bottle of 1975 Dom Perignon for breakfast. Then cruised the Na Pali coast that afternoon followed by a dinner at Bar Acuda in Hanalei. It was the perfect day.

I was born in London while my parents were there for work so I took a 10 day trip to Europe, culminating in being in London on my 40th.

Vegas! Invired all my close friends and got a cabana at Marquee Day Club! EPIC WEEKEND

Planning my wife's 40th for next May right now. Told her we're going to Hawaii, and let her pick the island. She picked the big island mainly because of Hawaii volcanoes NP. We'll stay at a hotel within the park on the edge of the crater on her birthday. Not crazy, but we're pretty low key, outdoorsy people.

Headed to Sri Lanka in October for mine. Super excited.

On my 40th just went to work

However, 50th coming up in October and we are going to do a long weekend in Cabo at Montage. Just got back from Japan and are probably done with overseas travel for awhile.

I've already forgotten what I did for my 40th but got a Rolex which is probably all we did. Ha. Went to Vegas for my 50th, saw U2 at the Sphere and bought a new watch. Not a cheap weekend.

Wife turns 50 this year and trying to decide what to do with hers.

For my 40th, I went to a Mexican restaurant for a "surprise" party that my kids had accidently mentioned to me days before. But it was great fun and a memorable night.

We did other milestone birthday trips to Charleston and Tucson. Both were fun, for different reasons, obviously. Charleston ... great food, sights and shopping. Tucson ... gorgeous desert views, the Pima Air and Space Museum and a beautiful resort.

A couple years before my 40th, I said I wanted to go to the darkest spot in the lower 48 to see the Milky Way.

Then I got a job that requires me to do financial close the first 5 days of the following month, and since my bday is the 2nd, I went to work....

Paris for two weeks. Rented a flat across from the Seine, Pre AirBnB.

It was my first two week vacation. Saw the opening matches at Roland Garros. Saw PSG play when it was a mid table squad. Before the new ownership took over.

Turn 40 in 2027, but my best friends and I booked a week in Scotland for a golf trip

We went to Boracay. Loved every minute of it.

Well I'm about to spend my 35th next weekend in Belgium at music festival (which I'm not a fan of) for music that I don't listen to lol.

On the plus side, we're gonna be in Normandy before it and golfing in Ireland after it with a pit stop in London (and a stadium tour of my favorite soccer team with a former player)

What are you interested in for your 40th? As a travel advisor, I plan a lot of milestone vacations. They can range in all different locations. Wife and I did a week in Italy, and it exceeded all expectations. 10/10

I went to Big Bend by myself and hiked my heart content

I went there with my sister's and niece 2 years ago; one sister liked it so much she suggested it for a friend's 40th the following year. We had a great time, Enjoy!

Me - dining room table with a few friends during peak covid, but did a weekend in Chicago the following year.

Wife - 2 years later Bora Bora, was everything we hoped it would be.

Two weeks in Kauai.

Bandon Dunes with buddies for the week leading up and then met wives in Vegas for the weekend.

Also did Pinehurst for 45th and currently planning Ireland for 50th.

Wife turned 40 in Jan 2020.

Had 3 Nextdoor neighbor couples and each of our siblings/spouses come as a surprise to Vegas (so 12 total. Actually pulled it off; got everyone in the room before we got there. Stayed at cosmo in a wrap around suite so her sister/bil stayed in it as well, so that's how they were able to get in.

Our Nextdoor neighbor who was in Vegas with us turned 40 in February 2020 so we followed up Vegas with a quick trip to Palm Springs.

My 40th was 3 months later. You can imagine what we did for that one…. Definitely no Vegas

Went to work. But if not for family commitments keeping me from being able to travel I'd be headed for a week to the Dolomites to ski.

IDK. I have 6 kids. Probably Labor and Delivery. No, I remember. My wife made me a Batman cake because I had just caught a bat in my toddler's room. Then for my 50th I went to Happy Hour at True Texas BBQ at HEB. In the morning I did a mile trial in 6:30.

Went to work, grilled a nice steak for dinner when I got home

For my 39and1/3 birthday I took a trip to Europe to see ACDC. For my wife's 39and1/3 birthday we're going to Egypt for the 2027 eclipse. Really just coincidental timing, but fun to say
