Traveling to Nashville next week for a few days with family. Looking for restaurant recommendations. Staying downtown off of Broadway near Bridgestone
Arena.

Welcome to Nashville! We've been out here for three years now.

For casual eats the Assembly Food Hall (across from Bridgestone) offers a lot of selection.
Hattie B's, just outside of the food hall, is my favorite of the hot chicken places - not a fan of most but Hattie's is good.
Sixty Vines (above the Food Hall) is pretty good.
Boqueria (ground floor) is a very good tapas place.
The bbq attached to Eric Church's Chiefs surpassed my expectations.
For a classic deal the Recession Special at Roberts Western World will get you a fried bologna sandwich, chips, moon pie and a PBR for $6 - less than just a beer almost anywhere else down there.

For great Indian not far from Broadway check out Chauhan Ale and Masala House.

You didn't ask but I highly suggest attending a show at The Listening Room. They'll have 3-4 song writers up there taking turns talking and singing their songs (could include hit songs old or new). Nice intimate setting. We saw Vince Gill and a couple others there earlier this year but it's always been a great show regardless of the names. The food is very mediocre but drinks are fine.

These others are in Germantown, just north of downtown. A great small casual Italian place is Little Hats Market.
Cool bar a few blocks from there is Mother's Ruin.
A good southern eatery served family-style is Monell's.

Tons of other places of course, most of which I've not been to. Enjoy the city and the visit with family!

Best meal I had in Nashville while there for a conference was actually a group dinner of 50 people for a retirement celebration.

5th & Taylor in Germantown was FABULOUS. Would qualify as a nice dinner out. Somewhat fancy, but not pretentious. We had a dinner served family style. Highly recommend:

Sausage cheddar biscuits
Tomato pie
Twice baked spaghetti squash
Beer can chicken
Steaks of any kind
Sprouts
Mac
Mashed potatoes (served with most entrees)

This place was a standout surprise in a week of conference catering and other not great fare.

How old are your kids? Ophelia's is a great place. They have pizza but it's a high end atmosphere. We love Tootsies for music. It's old school- go to the big names and always end up back there. If you'll have a car take a day and go to Franklin/Leipers Fork. There's a really nice winery outside of town- Arrington- owned by Kix Brooks.

How much would the Uber ride be from Broadway to Germantown?

Any good breakfast places around Broadway area?

We come out there August 7 for 4 nights.

For breakfast look at Bisquit Love or Pucketts.

Wife & I just got back from a trip to Nashville.

The $6 recession special at Roberts Western World was awesome! Def do that.

Hattie B's was good & fun to try Nashville Hot chicken.

The Stillery is down off Broadway & 2nd Ave. There food was good & I liked their MC Burger.

I would also recommend you try Biscuit Love in the Gulch. It was fantastic.

If you are looking for things to do we really liked the tour of the Ryman. We paid the extra $10 for the backstage tour & it was def worth it.

And if you are going to be there Sunday do the bluegrass jam session at the Station Inn. Get there early.

You can always eat at the same Raising Cane's Johnny Cash loved eating at off Broadway

I had forgotten about Puckett's.

We have had the Recession special at Robert's. And my wife is looking forward to doing that again. But I'm not.

There's now a Pancake Pantry downtown. Used to be the only one was up near Vandy. The new one is 3rd Ave and Molloy.
