Time to arrive to airport for international flight

At least two hours early for an international flight. Want to assure there are no slip ups in travel, security, etc. I generally arrive between 2.5-3 hrs in advance of boarding and relax in the lounge.

Yeah, I'm more of a 2:30 on international because if something goes sideways - traffic, security, whatever, the ripple effect and cost of fixing an international trip is a whole different ball of wax. Most likely you will breeze there and thru at the same rate as any domestic flight. But relaxing with some coffee in the airport a little longer isn't the worst thing
Carrier? 1st stop?
If it's United to Mexico, you're probably OK at 6am.
If it's Lufthansa to Frankfurt, Emirates to Dubai, etc., I'm going to recommend 2-3 hours before departure.
If you have lounge access, or are in First Class, earlier is better.
And when's the last time you flew out of IAH? I did last week and it's a freaking zoo right now with all the construction.
If it's United to Mexico, you're probably OK at 6am.

Direct flight and it is united to Mexico
And we don't have lounge access but are 1st class
Have not flow out of IAH since 2019
Last time international out of IAH was 2015
So have not been there in awhile

I'd allow 45 minutes for security, 20 minutes to walk to the gate and they'll probably start boarding 45 minutes before the flight. So that's 1:50 minutes there.
But, that's from arrival at the terminal.
As jacked up as the traffic is at Intercontinental is right now, I'd add an extra hour for that.

Get on the IAH website and reserve a parking spot now if want terminal parking.
