We were in Yellowstone a few days before Memorial Day a decade ago. The crowds got visibly worse each day

So your is good advice for any busy park. Go visit then get out of there before school lets out

Where the fun never stops, the Kemah Boardwalk.

These are on my list of places to visit within the next couple of years due to friends & family visiting them and having a great time. Underrated vacation destinations, I suppose.

...and yes, Galveston was a throw in with hopes that we don't land there. We had to have a chance of somewhere lackluster.

I'm a local so I always think Scottsdale is the answer but it can be hot by mid May depending on what you're wanting to do.

I used some random number generators to come up with a destination for you. It chose Ontario, Oregon. I've actually been for work. It's a lackluster town, but a decent jumping off point.
