Planning a trip the end of September, half marathon.
Looking for any suggestions on vrbo, air bnb or rentals on where to stay.
Finish is Teton Village.
Never been to this area. Don't necessarily have to stay in Jackson hole just somewhere close but heck everything could be spread out, it's hard to tell by looking at a map, for me.
Thanks for your time.

Depends on how much you want. Pricing goes from few hundred a night for hotel in Alpine (hr away) to $75k / week.

My nephew works for Clear Creek Group that does the high end housing rentals. They have some very nice places. https://www.theclearcreekgroup.com/

I am also looking at visiting earlier in the summer with my parents so am using Claude AI to plot out a trip

(I am coming from east coast and parents from Dallas)

likely meeting up in Cody Wyoming

I have not been to the upper west since I was a kid 40 years ago

We stayed at Inn on the Creek, couple of blocks from the square. Not going to say it was luxurious, but its very nice, convenient family owned place with delicious breakfast.

I've been maybe six times. Four of the visits i stayed in the condo part of Snow King. that's the easiest, if you ask me. it's close to town/shopping, walkable to a gondola, close to the Tetons, rafting, airport, etc.

One winter we rented a condo on VRBO half way to Teton village once. it was a three bedroom that backed up to the creek and was really cool. real fireplace and full kitchen.

The most recent trip i stayed in the hotel part of Snowking. it was fine, but nothing special. still close to town and easy in/out.

The summer rodeo is really fun, so check dates before you book.

The best hike, in my opinion, is from String Lake to the falls, then back for a swim in String. Phelps is a cool hike too. Take the boat on Jenny Lake to hike the falls if you have old people and can't put in the miles to string lake.

We try to have lunch at the lodge/campsite/marina in Teton NP. great deck and decent food.

other good casual food: Silver Dollar Bar, Sidewinders, and Cowboys Coffee for a breakfast sandwich
