What i like is to some degree it prevents an ETF from claiming they can cover the actual ETF in bitcoin

How so

The plan is to continuously raise capital via PIPEs to fund treasury growth. These new shares dilute existing shareholders. In the long run share price will trend downwards as more and more shares are issued despite the treasuries continuing to grow

It's only not dilutive if ETH appreciates in price at a rate > the rate of dilution.

Yes. MSTR primarily uses convertible debt, which doesn't guarantee dilution and if dilution does occur, it is years in the future.

These new DATs are relying on PIPEs where the equity is unlocked within weeks of the fundraise. Yes they may switch to debt in the future but we have yet to see them do this.

The investors participating in said PIPEs are only doing so for the chance to quickly dump on retail at a silly premium to NAV.

Adding to this, another thing that's much different about MSTR is the enormous head start they have. They own ~3% of the entire supply of BTC. $74B BTC vs $8B debt. Their balance sheet could withstand BTC going to $20k and staying there for several years at this point.
