I get that that there's tons of upside, but is anything happening with their business that could drive it up soon? Also how the heck did it get up to bitcoin level prices and then crash down?

I believe that's the volume you're looking at, not the stock price.

There were several reverse stock splits since WWR started trading. That's the reason for the seemingly high price of the stock years ago.

Pretty sure it's price, but the historical data is all over the place.

Wes****er Resources (NYSE: WWR) is an energy technology company focused on developing battery-grade natural graphite, primarily for electric vehicle (EV) batteries and energy storage. As a U.S.-based producer, it's positioned to benefit from domestic supply chain initiatives amid global shifts away from Chinese dominance in critical minerals. Based on recent market analysis, company updates, and sentiment from investors, here are several key reasons to be bullish on WWR as of July 2025:

1. Strong Recent Stock Performance and Momentum
WWR has shown significant upward momentum in 2025, with shares skyrocketing amid broader mining sector gains. For instance, the stock jumped 21.32% to $1.03 on February 7, 2025, following positive sector catalysts. More recently, it rose 10% in after-hours trading on July 18, 2025, rebounding from lows with bullish technical indicators like turning charts and low float potential for volatility-driven gains. This aligns with its inclusion in lists of top-performing mining stocks early in the year. Investor sentiment on platforms like X highlights its strength even on weak market days, with comments like "$WWR strong af on a **** market day bullish #graphite."

2. Favorable Government Policies and Trade Protections
U.S. policies are increasingly supporting domestic critical mineral production, directly benefiting WWR. The company applauded recent executive orders emphasizing battery-grade graphite as a key mineral for energy independence. A major catalyst is the U.S. Department of Commerce's (DOC) anti-dumping ruling on Chinese graphite-based anode materials, announced in July 2025, which imposes duties on unfairly priced imports. Combined with countervailing duties and tariffs, this makes U.S.-produced graphite more competitive for domestic battery manufacturing. WWR's Chief Commercial Officer noted this could economically favor U.S. graphite in EV batteries. Tariffs on Chinese imports are seen as a tailwind, with posts like "Riding U.S. graphite tariffs domestic supply gains traction " reflecting optimism.

3. Operational Advancements and Production Milestones
WWR's Kellyton Graphite Plant in Alabama is a cornerstone of its growth, with recent patents and ISO certification boosting credibility and momentum. The plant positions WWR as a key domestic supplier amid the EV boom and battery metals resurgence. Analysts project capacity expansions and operational efficiencies could drive long-term value, with the company emphasizing its role in securing U.S. graphite supply. This is echoed in investor discussions, such as Reddit's in-depth research calling WWR "one of the best investments right now" due to its reserves and tech.

4. Positive Analyst Forecasts and Valuation Metrics
Multiple sources rate WWR as a "Strong Buy," with short- and long-term moving averages signaling positive trends. Price targets for 2026 average $2.00 (over 200% upside from current levels around $0.60-$0.70), while 2040 projections reach $2.93 (229% growth). The stock trades at attractive multiples, with growth grades improving and odds of distress low. Rising volume and exponential moving averages suggest a strongly bullish trend.

5. Broader Market Trends in EVs and Battery Supply Chains
The global push for EVs and energy storage is driving demand for natural graphite, with WWR benefiting from U.S. efforts to reduce reliance on foreign supplies. Battery metals are "back in focus," per investor posts, amid low floats and sector tailwinds. With a market cap under $110 million, WWR is seen as undervalued for its potential in this narrative-driven space. Analysts note improving demand visibility and a shortage of domestic alternatives, supporting multi-year growth.
Risks to Consider
While bullish, WWR is a small-cap stock with volatilityit's risky due to its low market cap, potential disputes (e.g., with regulators), and dependence on policy execution. Older analyses (pre-2025) highlighted hype risks, but recent developments have shifted sentiment positively. Always conduct your own due diligence, as market conditions can change rapidly.

Still waiting to buy in. I almost bought at $0.97 this morning, but glad I waited. Based on what it's doing now, what do y'all think a good buy limit would be for today?

I'm really debating if I should sell my small number of XOM shares and pick up 1000 shares of WWR since it is now sitting around $0.83.

Why not buy GPHOF? Same type of company, but the stock is at $0.67.

GPHOF is a Canadian company. I think part of the WWR play is the possibility of fed gov $$$ to domestic producers.
