Bought a decent chunk of Goldman Sachs stock a while back at 283. It's over 700 today. What's everyone's thoughts since it's at an all time high?

First of all, grats on the trade. That is freaking awesome. I think you should buy your wife a new BMW, then load the dishwasher a couple of times.

I believe some of the impetus is loosening of regulations, a more business friendly administration than Biden. Expecting more IPO's, more deals, etc and GS is one of the industry leaders. No idea how high it will go.
Maybe start selling some covered calls

If the political climate swings too dramatically, the next administration could be a lot less friendly to Wall Street I'd think.
Might look at ways to start reducing that holding with minimizing tax hit.

No one ever went broke taking profits. Is there something else that is attractive to you? If not, probably best to stay in the position. If other stocks are attractive, consider selling 45% of the position, and then you are essentially net free in the remaining shares, and you can invest your profits into a new investment.

Thought about it for a while. Ended up taking 25% off the table to invest elsewhere.
