FBN was discussing this on the radio last night but they never said who the executive was.

he was discussing putting small nuclear reactors on the moon and on mars.

seems like the following companies are in this space:

General Atomics EMS

X-Energy

Westinghouse

Nano Nuclear Energy

Space Nuclear Power Corporation

which stock is best to buy for long term growth?

My (uninformed) opinion on small reactors is that they are kinda like all the fuss about cold nuclear fusion. A lot of big talk going back for decades and they have always been a nothingburger.

I'm willing to be educated to change said opinion.

I'm slightly more optimistic than that but right now these are at proof of concept stage. Commercialization is 10-15 years away, and market adoption at any notable scale wont happen in the next 25 years even if they can make them cost competitive.

Look at OKLO. They're far ahead of others in getting a product to market. The stock has been amazing for me with 250% returns since April. I got in most of my shares around the $20-$30 mark though.

It ain't like it used to be. Nuclear is the future & everyone is realizing it now.
Tough call on which company will rise to the top.
We are in a stage akin to the early days of the internet. They'll be some that race forward quickly (Yahoo) and plummet back to earth, while others (Amazon) take off slow and go to the stratosphere.

Exactly, a lot of the AI data centers will not be able to get power from the grid in time due to limits on the speed in which new transmission capacity and large grid scale generators like natural gas can get built.

Another one to look at is NuScale Power (stock: SMR).

They are also tied to Chris Wright, the Energy Secretary. He invested in them and was on their board before leaving his position at Liberty. Not insinuating anything below board, but clearly he is a fan of nuclear energy.

It sounds very cool and I hope it happens sooner, rather than later. it makes sense that A.I. may be the push to get it done.

Another thing to note is that this technology is critical to NASA's priorities for lunar surface. They say they want a reactor on the surface by 2030. I doubt that will happen but it's still critical to develop.
