On3's Team Transfer Portal Index utilizes the On3 (P)erformance score to measure a team's production during the transfer process, compared relative against its roster and not a comparison against other schools. This proprietary algorithm determines if a school has improved its overall team talent, stayed the same, or declined in talent during the transfer window.


One small difference: tu is declining in talent off of a final four run, whereas A&M is experiencing the same level of decline off of a last place conference finish.

Translation: tu may be fighting to get to the Elite 8 next year, while we're fighting to win a game.

As frustrating as the recruiting of this staff can be…it's very good bull that Joni was taking them out to the Bonfire Memorial

Why is it good?

Let's face it - the program is dead.

When I would heard the coach on radio last season it sounded like she was blaming the players for the losses Never seemed to take responsibility for the losses due to coaching. Little social media presence. If recruits saw the coaches comments I doubt they would want to play here. There was very little team play. Often one player ran down the court and shot. There would be long runs of scoring y the opponents and no time out called. Sad.

Early on in the season they asked about the high turnover rate and she said well we don't have a true point guard so it makes it hard… like that's not her job to recruit a point guard lol

They would have to offer 8 one year deals for $500,000 to $1,000,000 each to take up the roster spots with enough talent to compete. But now you are talking buy out contracts kind of money at the end of the year. So the decision to keep throwing good money after bad or settle up and move on.

I think there are 12 scholarships in women's gymnastics. And you can offer partial scholarships for larger squad. Might be time to think about transitioning

Yeah it's pretty telling (I mean what coach would want to come coach for this program) but Joni just refuses to make changes to staff. She's just burning this program to the ground. She's collecting a paycheck then will just move on to another job that's handed to her next March. Everyone who comes here runs away from Joni Taylor, how can we blame them.
