Not sure if Trev is serious about women's basketball but a change should be made hopefully at the start of next week. This program is an embarrassment and has been through a rough 4 year stretch. I like to believe there is a standard of women's basketball here at Texas A&M University. Joni Taylor has sunken this program so far. We deserve better. Joni Taylor has inexcusably failed in her tenure at Texas A&M. It's time we bring this program back to relevancy and start winning again.

West Virginia fans are scared of losing their head coach Mark Kellogg to Texas A&M. He's coached in Texas at two different stops. Right now he was West Virginia as a 4 seed in the ncaa tourney. He'd be towards the top of targets!

Last year it was stated that she would have one more year following this season. When she was hired it was 5 years. Someone on here said it was actually 2 after this season, meaning somewhere along the way of this disaster of a tenure she received a one year extension. Haven't seen any contract details.

Our program has gotten progressively worse since her hiring. Our last two games were horrific. She has no idea how to build a program. This should be an attractive opportunity for a lot of coaches. No more excuses, fire her now. Bucky came in late with the portal already picked over and he put together a team that just won a game in the dance. He had nothing and got it done so it can be done.

Her contract runs thru April 30, 2028. She will "earn" a $50,000 increase for the bang up job she did this season…

2027 season (Year 5) she'll make $1,650,000
2028 season (Year 6) she'll make $1,700,000

Ross Bjork gave a $10,000,000 contract to someone that's never made it to the second weekend.

This is all just so heartbreaking, i just want to see this program win again. It's clear Joni is unable to do that yet we have no other option than to just sit and watch these losing seasons keep on happening…

I guess there's a just new standard here for Texas A&M Women's Basketball, the Joni standard

I believe her contract only runs through the 26-27 year. So that means she technically has one more year. Hopefully it's only one more week.

Where are you getting this information?? I believe she only signed a 5-year contract and she's been here 4 seasons already. Unless they extend it one year on her contract it expires 26-27 season

She signed a 6 year contract when she came here that runs thru the 2027-28 season. She has two full years remaining on the contract. The original contract has not been extended. See below:

The second weekend? Does she even know there is a second weekend? She didn't even get to the second weekend of the small dance this year as a 1 seed.

Makes sense. Women's basketball is dead, and men's baseball is still on life support. Trev just got the big pay raise and extension, so I'm sure he's on top of it...or maybe not.

This was a huge mistake, missed on Earley, hasn't fired Taylor, Anderson hire is horrible, but football won, so he got he extended.

There is plenty of money. He's just not willing to use it. I hope there are some serious discussions going on currently. If you gave Joni $10,000,000 to build a roster I don't think she'd finish any higher than she has in the 4 years she's been here. Negotiate a release and move on. At this rate, she will never coach again at any reputable D1 institution.

Sir or Madam - we are one of the wealthiest schools and athletic programs in the nation. $3million is literally nothing (even though it looks like it might be closer to $6.5). It wouldn't be a lump sum payout, it would be paid out over time. The majority would be pulled from other revenues and I'm sure Trev would find a donor or two to kick in what he needs. If you think A&M is sweating over $3-6 million - it's laughable. The question Trev has to answer is is it time or should we just suck it up and let her coach 2 more years? It's up to him. We will see.

Seeing all these venues today and tomorrow should make an Aggie fan sad… these environments are rocking and it's beautiful sight to see

Look at volleyball, we went from a near empty Reed to one of the highest attended teams in the nation. The crowds that will be behind that team this next season are going to be awesome. The right coach makes all the difference…
