Day at Play: Farm Day | Free Event, RSVP Required
Saturday, June 28th, 9 AM 12 PM
Get your hands in the dirt and experience the joy of local food and farming at Day at Play Farm Day at Millican Reserve!
This free, family-friendly event invites guests of all ages to connect with how food is grown, meet our farm animals, and enjoy hands-on activities inspired by life on the land.
Activities may include:
  • Farm Walk-throughs to see what's growing and learn about no-till practices
  • Feeding Jimmy the Donkey, our friendliest four-legged farm resident
  • Seeding your own plant to take home and grow
  • Veggie Sensory Station to smell, touch, and taste seasonal crops
  • Show-and-Tell with farm tools, where kids can see what it takes to grow local vegetables
Whether you're a garden enthusiast or just curious about where your food comes from, Farm Day is a fun and educational morning for the whole family.

Millican Reserve Fishing Day | $5 per Person
Saturday, June 28th, 3 PM 5 PM
Join us for a relaxing day by the water at the Market ponds. This is an ideal event for young and beginner anglers. A limited number of rods and reels will be available, so we encourage participants to bring their own gear. Worms will be provided, and our Outdoor Coordinator will be on hand to help with rigging poles, baiting hooks, and safely releasing fish. This is a great opportunity to learn the basics of fishing in a supportive, family-friendly environment. No fishing license is required to participate.

A limited number of rods and reels will be available, so we encourage participants to bring their own gear. Bug Safari Hike | Free Event, RSVP Required
Monday, July 7th, 6 PM 7:30 PM
Join us for a guided Bug Safari as we journey around Lake Prescott, covering the entire 2.25 miles of Prescott Trail. This free event is open to all, but registration is required. The trail offers a diverse hiking experience with varying levels of difficulty and may encounter sections not suitable for strollers. Explore the natural beauty of Millican Reserve as our experienced guides lead you through vibrant ecosystems and scenic vistas. Each hike provides a unique opportunity to connect with nature, offering insights into the local ecology and the chance to observe wildlife in their natural setting.
