Cody Hodges was the Air Raid QB during the 2005 season right before the Graham Harrell era. Lots of experience playing backup to Kingsbury, Symons, and Cumbie. He got in a bit of hot water by saying the Red Raiders could score a 100 on a team after beating Sam Houston 80-21. Hodges beat the Aggies 56-17 and finished 9-3, losing to 'Bama in the Cotton Bowl.

Funny. I actually saw Hodges play in Austin in 05. We hung 50 on Tech. It didn't matter who you had behind center because we had VY and an all star D.

That was a weird season in some ways. We could've secured a BCS bid if we only beaten an eventual 4-7 Okie State, but then the next week we knock the Sooners lights out.

I'm confused. In 2005 Tech was 8-1 going into the Okie State game and at the same time USC & Texas were undefeated. How would beating OSU have secured a BCS bid?

Not the BCS Championship game but a BCS Bowl.

We would know it by it being called the Shrine Circus. My dad took me to it as a kid. Didn't know it was in town. Didn't see any trucks.

My dad and uncles as well. That's why we went.

All joking aside the Shriners are awesome with all they do for all the sick and hurt kids. God bless them.
